Who would have thought that the words of a Dave Matthews band song would go through my head just as they happen in real life. The song "Crash" by DMB is one of my favorites, however, since I was crashed into last night in my car while the song was tooling in my head, I might re-evaluate that. I will post the pictures of the vehicle after I get them developed. I hurt a little bit, I will go to the doctor on Monday, see what he/she says. Oh the humanity...so it was a 3 car collision and I was the peanut butter in the middle. It hurt me a little, but at least no one was really hurt or injured severly. I am a little tired cause I tool some pain medication that makes me sleepy. My trunk is now in my back seat and the back door can't close. My pretty pretty car. Thats ok, no one was hurt, everyone was ok.

Before science explained to man the little we know about the world, there were fables, myths and stories that mummy's and daddies told their children to explain the world in which they lived. In some parts of the world a giant tortoise holds the world on its back, in others rain was brought by a bird who flew overhead. The Gods and Goddesses were in control of nature, when there was an imbalance in the world, the Gods showed their displeasure by causing drought, famine or some other type of natural disaster. Someone I know sent me a picture that made me think of these myths and fables, some which I heard as a small child.

There is day and night, both that are controlled by the Goddess Fairy. When the time comes for day to approach the goddess stretches her arms and yawns, releasing the sun from captivity. When it comes time for night to fall the goddess as she was, opens her mouth and yawns again. As she yawned this time the day gave way to night, and when she closed her mouth all light was extinguished. It is said that if the Goddess is displeased with the way of the world she will keep the sun in captivity until a radiant being can make her smile. This has only happened once before. The sun was kept in captivity for a hundred years, war, famine and disease plagued the world. The world was already in turmoil and the Goddess felt that if the world was already going in such a way, she would relieve the sun of its duty and keep it in captivity till the world was right again. Very little survived that hundred year darkness, but one night as the goddess was walking along the sands of a forgotten shore a small creature approached her. This creature looked up at her and tilted its head. She looked down on the creature and thought, "Oh the things that can survive 100 years of turmoil, war, famine and disease, do they not deserve to live in a world with sun?" Despite herself, a small smile crept across her face and she released the sun, and life continued on.
The creature that saved the world. ...

Woe is me. My life is not at an end, but it is in a shabble. I did not get my promotion. Such is life. I would feel better if a mentor of mine had not told me this last time I got promoted "If you don't feel like you deserved this promotion, prove that you did by blowing your next promotion out of the water." It sucks, so now I feel like I don't deserve the position I have now.

So other than that life is good, the chinchillas are good, the hubby is good, my health is at least 70% good.
